| 1193922 | 2011-04-13 04:53:00 | Hi all I have a wireless system provided by Netsmart here in Tauranga with a linksys 2.4g router and a linksys pap2t phone adapter. Just using a standard panasonic cordless phone direct out of adapter but often fades out or drops calls or just cant hear anyone when answering. Is it just I prob have a 2.4g cordless phone and is interfering. Thanks Dean |

| 1193924 | 2011-04-13 10:19:00 | Yes, try a different phone. I have the same (almost) set up as you and I am using a cordless Panasonic too, But it is a 1.88 Ghz. I believe the the 2.4Ghz can have probbs. LL |

If browsing still works, who else is on the web at the time and what are they doing? When if fades, can you describe in a little more detail what it sounds like? I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say they're reselling 2talk, so double-check what Call Codec is being used in the PAP2T? It's probably g711 (alaw / ulaw). See if you can change that to g729. |

Yes router is WRT54GL, Pretty sure Internet still works fine when call drops, sorry and fading I ment that just no longer hear the caller part way through conversation even though call still running so have to call back. Call codec is a bit beyond me. Will try and old phone. Thanks again |
