Completely

1159836 2010-12-08 05:19:00 Go to options / and delete it from one of the tabs. Or if its installed by something uninstall it Speedy Gonzales (78)
1159837 2010-12-08 05:26:00 I use a programme called MyUninstal.

It shows on there and gets removed.

Then it's gone-burger.

1159838 2010-12-08 05:27:00 And then watch carefully when you install other software. The Ask toolbar is piggybackware. johcar (6283)
1159839 2010-12-08 05:31:00 I think there is also an Ask search engine in FF Speedy Gonzales (78)
1159840 2010-12-08 05:40:00 can be un-installed using Ccleaner in the remove programs or in add remove programs in Windows. It installs with some other types of program such as Ccleaner itself if you don't untick the option to install Ask. I always download the slim version of Ccleaner as it doesn't have the askbar install with it gary67 (56)

It deleted some, but won't let me use google as it has taken over.

1159842 2010-12-08 05:43:00 So is it the ask toolbar or the search engine. There's a diff. If its the toolbar, did you close FF before you uninstalled it? Speedy Gonzales (78)

Downloaded that, but I can't see Ask in the list they provide and if I ask it to find Ask, it totaly ignores me, worse than my wife.

1159844 2010-12-08 05:47:00 It should show up in add/remove programs ... if not ... use CCleaner to remove then run registry cleaner to get rid of the scraps. SP8's (9836)
