1159532 2010-12-06 23:58:00 Looks like my neck of the woods is due for UFB at what looks like a reasonable price before long.

ADSL2 or VDSL is not available here from Xtra yet at my address.

1159536 2010-12-07 01:21:00 Keep in mind that the prices quoted are wholesale and don't include what the data cap is/might be. Siobhan Keogh (16063)

I had noted that! :)

But then I don't use torrents and want 100Gb per day like some.

1159538 2010-12-07 01:27:00 We have 25GB at home, which is fine except when there are exceptional circumstances like this month, when we reinstalled WoW so that Cataclysm can be reviewed for PCW. It had to download 16GB worth of patches which put us way over the limit. Since Orcon doesn't seem to sell data packs we're going to have to pay about an extra $30 on top of our regular bill. Blech, data caps. Siobhan Keogh (16063)
1159539 2010-12-07 01:31:00 I have a 10Gb cap. So far used 58% and it resets tomorrow. Snorkbox (15764)

1159541 2010-12-07 01:48:00 It's a big game. LOTRO is similar.

$40 wholesale means it's not gonna be that cheap when you finally get it through the retailers / resellers, and as Siobhan mentioned, that's *likely* to still come with a BS 10GB plan.

Still, after 3 years, about time the bloody government finally got their act together and did some decision making. Apparently it's still up in the air if the FTTH will be roadside, or suspended from power poles etc...
