| 1159350 | 2010-12-06 05:58:00 | In the spirit of Christmas me and a mate were given a 3Com Superstack II each. My mate is making a server farm because his parents allow him to hoard computers. mine get fed up with more than 2 :D Anyway, I need to do something with it, any good things you can do with 2x desktops a 32'' LCD TV a laptop and a 360? I'm thinking about getting under the house and prepping it for fiber or at the least wiring the whole thing with Cat6. It has fiber connections, I wonder If that could be useful for doing something other than data transfer? custom something maybe? I could try flashing the firmware and send laser signals down it to execute commands. I need source firmware though, doubt 3Com would give me that! Model: SUPERSTACK E151382 4C93 Cheers for Ideas, also it seems my mate hot his working, he used 12 PC's to DDoS my network for 5 mins :P, Curse his 20mb/s fiber. Random Q: is it even possible to DDos google? |

| 1159358 | 2010-12-07 20:55:00 | Pull the guts out of it and make a modded pc Part of the reason it needs a new fan, Basically I have now built a really shlt server with built in switch/stack I'll use if for LAN parties and file sharing once we get in the new boarding house, or something like that. |
