1159217 2010-12-06 02:46:00 All the time...You can get come serious bargains off TM if you are careful. wratterus (105)
1159218 2010-12-06 02:53:00 I've personally bought a laptop off of TM before, it ran for about a year before dying but I couldn't really expect longevity given the price. Siobhan Keogh (16063)
1159219 2010-12-06 02:54:00 If its nearly dead, I'll rather build my own. Since, I dont do Trademe, or Ebay or any auction places. Speedy Gonzales (78)
1159220 2010-12-06 03:19:00 Plenty of steals to be had on TM for the right price, if you are a technician! SolMiester (139)
1159221 2010-12-06 03:22:00 Depends what it is.
A PC, I rather get new but the cheapest and slowest parts and build it myself.

If it's a laptop but not a Netbook I might b/c they cost so much more than a few hundred dollars.

1159222 2010-12-06 03:25:00 I have quite a few machines from Tm, have not had a single dud, all are running very nice. nedkelly (9059)
1159223 2010-12-06 03:34:00 Nothing to loose if you format or put a new HDD in (software/security wise) and if the hardware is solid I don't see why not.

TM is quite good for for mid end upgrade packs. I do a lot of installs for mates of mine who have $1k and want to up their gaming specs, stuff like mobo + 6gb RAM and an i5 for $995.

If I was building I'd do myself. nothing beats knowing exactly what went into your PC and the quality of the build, you also get lots reciepts and boxes/packaging <sarcasm> YAY!! </sarcasm>

1159224 2010-12-06 03:57:00 Yep nothing to lose often have enough bits around to upgrade/repair if they don't work depending on the fault gary67 (56)
