| 1158958 | 2010-12-05 22:20:00 | If the govt goes ahead and follows up with this suggestion, the cost to the taxpayer will be more than just the lodge, there will be protection, probably flights, etc. But in the same breath we are told that there is no money in the budget to pay for extra operations or what ever. Considering the royals are supposed to rank rather high on the rich list, let them pay there own way. If they come to NZ (at there own expense), it will still give NZ exposure on the world stage. If the tax payer does end up forking out........my neice is getting married next year, might put in a claim to have her to have a tax payer paid honey moon:D Thats my 2 cents worth....... |
