1159479 2010-12-18 01:53:00 It is very, very hot in ChCh we have fans going on the cool side of the house to drag the cold air in from the shady side, can't believe it was drizzling with cool rain a day or so ago.

This is the hottest day I can remember for a very long time, sweltering is the word to use I think.

1159480 2010-12-18 02:46:00 Wettest day of the month probably wettest since September here all 44mm of it:cool: 95% humidity makes the cooler 20c seem so much hotter though.

The grass looks like its grown a few cms overnight and the blardy weeds have spourted like somone has planted them overnight! I swear you look long enough you can see themgrowing :stare:

And I was daft enough to spend most of the day wandering around town. Pure madness. :p

Yea it was quite toasty in Timaru as well. During the middle of the day the heat was intense!

Although I don't think it was as hot at Christchurch from what I've heard.
