| 1195578 | 2011-04-20 02:39:00 | Are you talking about the tome to load Win or the time for it to power on ?? I read the figure off Event Viewer, so I have a feeling that actual time may be longer . . . Event viewer shows Boot time = 120187ms and MainPathBootTime of 59387ms . Once you have eliminated malware, lack of ram, hardware faults then you need to do a fresh install . Personally I've found that reinstalling Windows is often the most effective way of speeding the system up . But is it natural to reinstall Windows over and over again? Surely it's not what people "normally" do, right? Thanks for everyone's help . I'll give Soluto a try right now, but my current boot time is at 65063 (Boot) + 22863 (MainPath), according to Event Viewer . Probably because I've disabled all of not-so-fancy effects, and back to Windows Classic scheme . (I'll turn on all the effects and see whether that drags performance down) Anyway, does anyone else encountered similar issues with Windows slowing down over time, normal usage? |
