1194933 2011-04-16 21:58:00 In DVD Flick, did you select All Files like I mentioned - then navigate to where the files are. Selecting all files will show everything thats there in the location you navigate to. wainuitech (129)

Correct, only after you have selected "all files"

I got something on the go, so far it has been running for at least 3hrs and it says 81% 2 of four files, does that sound right?

1194935 2011-04-17 00:37:00 Sounds about right time wise - Two things dictate the time - the size of the files, and the specifications of the Computer. 4 GB wouldn't be fast.

To give an example, just did a quick conversion from a MS video, 4.30 @12MB original - just took 5 minutes to convert, and I have a Q6600 CPU in this.

DVD Flick is having to convert to another format, so its not a fast process, but once finished you should have at the location you selected the two folders, Audio_TS and Video_TS.

Assuming you are getting the picture below- leave it alone :)

1194936 2011-04-17 00:41:00 Jeez guys... that looks to the layman like a complicated method of copying a DVD, home made or commercial.

Try DVDFab8. Press three buttons and it copies virtually any DVD without me needing to enquire or even know what type of file. As long as I remember to "finalise" the copy, it seems to be capable of being played anywhere. If not finalised, it must be played on the PC.

If you look back at the beginning, its a single .vob file.

DVD Fab, wont import a single .vob file and make a DVD without the INF file as well (I just tried it) ALL it will do is allow you to convert the .vob file to another format, Eg: avi, Zune and any other of the formats it offers.

1194938 2011-04-18 01:59:00 It took 13hrs to get the files to apoint, so left it running overnight, this morning it has all gone into the biosphere.

Decided it might pay to try one file at a time (1gig)so far 5hrs later it says it is encoding audio, so will wait and see.

I tried Scouse system, all it did was leave a copy of music with no DVD pics.

1194939 2011-04-18 05:52:00 Not looking good.

Running for 9hrs now and it says it is still encoding audio, it didn't take that long for video encoding.?

1194940 2011-04-18 07:38:00  What sort of Spec's is the PC, shouldn't take that long.

looking right back at the beginning, some modern DVD players will play single .vob files as you have, some wont as they are looking for the other files in the Video folder ( INF and BUP).

Failing DVD Flick taking to long - One other I have use in the past is Spesoft Video to DVD (www.spesoft.com) The download link is right under the picture of the camera - just tried it , took a 1GB vob file, renamed it to test.vob - ran it through Spesoft, it created a full structure ( normal DVD folders, all the INF,BUP files etc) took 6 (six) minutes from start to finish.
