1159773 2010-12-08 08:48:00 Was the voice a computer generated one ?

The voices sound fairly natural to me, but the T-u-i for Tui makes me think it is computer generated. On the other hand Poo-Puke just has to be a human interpretation.

I do wonder how they get on in Aussie with aboriginal names. Some of those are real tongue-twisters too.

All in all a pretty disappointing effort, and I'm pleased I don't need one.

Cheers

1159775 2010-12-08 11:47:00 If I know where I'm going, I go there.
If I don't know, I look it up on Google first.

Sounds good to me. If you need someone to tell you where to go you should not be driving. If you can't read a map then you possibly can't read the road code either.

It doesn't even speak the english words correctly. Maori - not a chance.

Our TomTom can't even speak state highways correctly :stare:

(They come out as some garbage as they're written on the map as SH1 etc.)

My Tom tom will only reach to the end of our street, I find my hands hurt if I hit harder.

Am thinking of getting a GPS instead.
