| 1194972 | 2011-04-16 03:48:00 | Hi The above bit of software was released about a month ago and I came across it this morning from here. (www.thewindowsclub.com) I thought I'd try it out, installed it with no problem and it seems to work fine. I then noticed that even with now browser open it was maintaining a connection "home" and downloading something (it had already updated itself after the install). I terminated the connection, but it soon re-established itself using something called bsserv.exe. There's nothing to indicate it's malicious - it's just that I'm near to my monthly datacap and it seemed to be using a lot for no apparent reason. I've uninstalled it for the moment, but can anyone tell me what it's doing - remember the browser (Chrome) is closed so it's not examining any web pages? Thanks |

B. hell - I hadn't realised the install could grow to the sizes they mentioned - good job I spotted it early! Anyway, as I said, I've uninstalled it using Revo, and will now have a look with CCleaner to see if there are any other loose ends. Thanks |
