1196594	2011-04-23 04:36:00	Hey Ive been thinking about building myself a 'gaming' pc for a while. Ive had a look over the internet and come up with this list so far.... Intel E8400 (~$300) Asus P5QL EPU Intel P43 Chipset LGA775 ATX (~$200) Kingston HyperX DDR2 PC8500/1066MHz CL5 2x2GB(~$130) Aerocool Aquilo Midtower Black (comes with a 500w psu) (~$100) dvd drive (~$50) 1tb HD (~$120) Now a couple of questions, what GPU do you think would suit well (I'd like to keep the price reasonably low on the whole build) Will everything 'work' together? And are there any changes you'd recommend? I'd like to keep the price under $1k if possible. If the processor needs to change, thats fine. I just heard it was a relatively good pocessor for this type of stuff. Thanks in advance :)	hkingsbury (13817)

1196597	2011-04-23 04:51:00	I would not bother upgrading a Dell PC as such. It can be done but if you were to take out parts you can use to put in a new rig it may help. Especially 8 years old I would forget it.	Snorkbox (15764)

I'd check up on it, but i'm not at home I ran into problems with upgrading my Dell e521 - mainly that the case wasn't big enough to fit decent vid card into (HD6850)! You probably can't fit a non-Dell board into the case due to the proprietary nature of Dell equipment.	Richardd150 (13927)

You can get an i5 2400 for around $300 - 2 generations newer, higher clocked and has turbo at that. And you can get an 1155 board for around $250-ish (gigabyte, so a deecnt brand too) so the overall price shouldn't be much different. As for GPU, I'd go with an HD5850, HD6850, GTX460 1GB or GTX560 depending on budget.	inphinity (7274)

Doesn't really go together. Does depend on what games specifically but it's pushing it. NEVER get a bundled with case PSU, they're crap. You want a decent brand, for quality.
