| 1195818 | 2011-04-20 05:33:00 | Hi, I have a new machine running the following - ATI Radeon 5770, AMD Phenom 11 x 4 840 CPU, 4 Gb RAM, Gigabyte GE-P450N PSU, ASUS M4A87TD/USB3 mobo, WIN 7 home premium 64 System consistently fails to boot from cold, runs the Windows jingle then stops before the password, waiting does not help. Putting the system in sleep mode then waking up immediately produces the password followed by the desktop. I can run ten or more reboots without fail when the system is warm. I've updated the graphics driver and also removed everything except essential items from startup. Any ideas would be most appreciated. Thanks |

| 1195820 | 2011-04-20 06:49:00 | Two things come to mind - 1. PSU faulty ( As Speedy mentioned) 2 Motherboard faulty. Sounds a exactly like a customers Laptop I had here, wouldn't boot while cold, once warm boots fine - that had a faulty board. |
