| 1161312 | 2010-12-13 19:31:00 | Perhaps the scammers should have that number wainuitech: 0900 46788743 (0900 I'M STUPID) They must have a good way of hiding where they are, other wise the police would (maybe) take some action. Still have not even had one call --- I feel left out now :( They still must be raking in the $$ though ---- damn scammers :groan: |

| 1161313 | 2010-12-13 21:05:00 | oh to act completely dumb, dumber than a 1st level help desk. to infuriate them with total and utter pain as I ramble uselessly about my computer whilst thrashing the living sh.t out of the callers mentality with useless and stupid remarks like where is command prompt? no its not there. nothing happens when I press that! They are there for the money, and they are playing the percentages, so if you make it too hard they will just hang up, like my last one did. He was smart and gave up as soon as I asked for a call-back number. A 'steady as she goes' approach reels them in much better. Not too smart, not too dumb. They need to smell gold at the end of the rainbow. Then you can play them......... Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 1161314 | 2010-12-13 21:27:00 | are you saying level 1 help desk are dumb, the error guy? not dumb, but script readers. Not all of them but some of them are absolute shockers. A bit of a generalization to be fair. I have had my share of helpful ones |

| 1161318 | 2010-12-14 02:08:00 | I'm just about pissing myself laughing here -- Just had a customer call me that got one of those calls, (second time, she called me the first time to check) she can stay cool as a cucumber while totally insulting you. I had told her give a fake number or message via the phone numbers if you feel like having some fun. (never thought shed do it though) She kind of got ahead of them, and asked if how she could pay, without waiting for an answer she rattled off the numbers -- oh bother cards expired last month and hung up. She said heres the numbers -- Figure it out. 4638 2596 8773 5300  AND I still haven't been called :crying |
