I like the digital RPM control too.

Whatever you do - don't get a low voltage or rechargeable one if you want reliability and long-running times. I also have a rechargeable Dremel and it's OK for a short run - but after a few minutes it starts to poop out (an olde nautical term there).

For my use (drilling PCBs) the Proxxon is much better (though this is more to do with their drill press than the tool itself)
