| 1160747 | 2010-12-11 23:56:00 | Hi Anyone who knows me well will tell you that I'm not very good at, and have even less interest in, DIY. However, I do appreciate people that are competent in that area and at the same time think outside the square. I saw an example of that about 6 years ago when we took our (then) year old Irish Wolfhound camping (she sadly snuffed it at the end of Feb this year left a big hole in our hearts and required an even bigger one in the garden), where we admired a large BBQ table that a family near us was using. The bloke had made it himself (not so difficult), but when the time came to go home it came apart and was put back in a different way to create high sides for his trailer. Anyway, the other day I came across this (www.imagef1.net.nz)in a mag called Good Simple choices for a better life which was promoting supposedly 100+ Green, Healthy and Ethical Products (that term Ethical seems to have taken on a life of it's own recently a bit like clinically proven) and it appealed to my sense of the bizarre. I wondered what other pre-uses people could come up with for the item in question . Mind you, I'm not sure how the more rotund figure would fit into one of these, but I do like bits of the whimsical description, such as the lowered sides facilitate final goodbyes and the ergonomically designed solid timber handles let family members of all ages participate in carrying I also thought that if they slightly re-spelt the company they could form a subsidiary specialising in cremations and call it Tenderroast. (PS I mistyped promoting above and one of the suggestions of the spell checker in OOo was protactinium - put your hand on your hart and tell me what it is without looking it up! (and, no, I didn't know either). Enjoy the rest of your weekend. |

| 1160754 | 2010-12-12 00:41:00 | (snip) I wondered what other pre-uses people could come up with for the item in question.(snip) I know, keep it standing upright the way it is in the main photo, and built nasty big spikes into the sides, back, and lid. Then you could close it sharply on your intended target, and THEN cremate the remains. Oh wait, I think that might have been done before. |
