1197352 2011-04-26 23:26:00 There are at least two people, both on xtra, who do not receive messages that we send. One of these at least has our email address in their address book. They deny having us on a blocking list. I use outlook express 2000, and IE8, and my ISP is Snap. One of the people has tried to get sense from xtra, but without any joy. Is there anything that can be done? Brucem (8688)
1197353 2011-04-26 23:49:00 Are they sure they have not blocked your email address in their mail client.
They may have done it accidently and if they don't know how to check for blocked senders they may not realize.

1197354 2011-04-27 00:09:00 Tell the people that you have sent the mails to , to log in Via their web mail, look in the spam folder - they could be there.

A while back xtra changed their spam filters, and these days its marking a lot of legit mail as spam.

MANY other people are having the same problems, these mails can be anything from invoices to weekly news letters.

Classic example, if I mail out an invoice, or receipt to anyone from my accounting program, its marked as spam, but if I save the invoice as a pdf file, and attach it then it arrives fine.

One of the people has tried to get sense from xtra, but without any joy  Best of luck with that :D

That's exactly what I tell people - regardless who their ISP is. And 99.9% of the time, that's where the email is.

1197356 2011-04-27 00:30:00 I'll second those opinions. Get them to sign up for a free Gmail account, see if you can send it there. If you can, while it's jumping to a wild conclusion, I'd still blame their ISP just coz it's Xtra. Chilling_Silence (9)
1197357 2011-04-27 00:32:00 Xtra email is NOT a professional class email service
Xtra email Is not anything to do with Xtra, they gave it to Yahoo Australia
Mail can be delayed for days (it happens with Xtra)
mail can be lost if Telecom once hosted their domain-adressed emails but no longer do. (it happens)

Most xtra users have no idea that there is a spam filter that can ONLY be accesed via webmail. Tell them they need to log into xtra webmail & check their spam filter.

1197358 2011-04-27 00:41:00 Yeah since Yahoo took over the email it's been a bit dodgy sometimes....

And x2 what 1101 said, check the spam folder in webmail... (Note, I think you can turn that spam filter off if you want)
