1197017 2011-04-25 21:55:00 Hi all,

Just wondering if there is a NZ custom dictionary available for MS Office as many NZ place names etc come up as miss-spelled...

Donald.

To add in the Dictionary - office 2010 -- Open word/ File/Options/Proofing - Custom Dictionary Button, from the drop down Box, select English (New Zealand)

Only use the Kai Tahu version of Te Ngutu Kura if you are needing that dialect (generally Kai Tahu dialect uses 'k' in the place of 'ng', and there are other features as well). You are better off using this download: TE NGUTU KURA STANDARD v 2.0 for Windows (Office 97) from www.maorispellchecker.net.nz

There are also Linux and Macintosh versions, plus a 'Professional' version.

If you need to use macrons, I prefer the Microsoft Māori keyboard driver to the Te Ngutu Kura version.
