| 1196992 | 2011-04-25 11:51:00 | I have had a big problem with the Internet for a couple of weeks now. My ISP is Orcon. Local sites ie PC World, Trade Me, Dick Smith etc are normal. Sites out of Auckland are very slow. Skype accounts report 'No connection'. USA .com timed out. Speed test to Orcon is good, 4.2Mbps down, .8 up. Latency 17 Speed tests to Tauranga and Napier timed out. Google Maps very slow and unusable. FTP up and down to Utopia (Albany) good. Connection is stable. Any ideas? Orcon are 'investigating'. |

Today it is good, speed from New York 4.3 Mbps, so I hope it is fixed. I suppose that with all the Tornados, Earthquakes, and Floods its amazing that the Internet works at all :-) |
