Yep, they even took the wheel-nuts. :stare:

Those bricks? They're from the neighbours fence that fell down in the quake. The wheels weren't exactly $400 mags. just plain old factory hubs and borderline-warrantable tyres.

1163023 2010-12-18 16:59:00 My condolences. Had the same thing happen to me a while ago when I parked my car on the road one night. The *******s walked right passed my bedroom window to get some tree rounds and a large piece of timber from the wood shed for a lever and took two wheels on the road side of the car.
They were lucky I didnt catch them at it as I might just have beaten them to a pulp I would have been so angry.

I made the comment on another forum that we should bring back the death penalty for those that can't abide by civilisations rules, not for retribution but to stop them passing on their faulty genes.

If we dont it is just going to get worse until society crumbles.
My comment didnt go down well with the do gooders.
Note there was another abused kiddy a couple of days ago. Poor kid was hiding in the closet no doubt in fear of what was about to or would have happened to her.

1163024 2010-12-18 17:24:00 Keep a look out on TM for car trailers either new or rebuilt as it looks like they would about 13/14 inch

Had some wheels pinched about 10 years ago from a trailer, police said at the time their was similar thefts going on with wheels ending up on new or rebuilt trailers

Thieves are always thieves ,they pinch from friends/family,would like to see our judicial system outsourced to the Chinese

The do gooders wouldn't like it if you had booby trapped them to blow arms off.

1163026 2010-12-18 18:41:00 Oops.

Well I didn't get robbed but yesterday on arriving back home I noticed my front bumper was falling off.

Husband had a look and said at some point in the past it had had a bang, the bar it attaches to was bent and the bolts stuffed.

It's being worked on.

Quite amazing what a large chunk of a car is plastic though.........nasty.

1163027 2010-12-19 05:01:00 A clearer pic for yas.

Turns out that the school (three doors down) got knocked over too, cash stolen, office ransacked. Also the police are going to do prints on the car. Wouldn'tve thought that they would bother with that on this, but it may just be because of the possible link to the school.

Was probably a good thing I didn't catch 'em in the act, I woulda been out there in my undies with the shotgun. Nobody wants to see me in my undies.

Ah well, thank god for insurance, time to knock back some Jim Beam (hey I was feeling classy when I brought it).

1163028 2010-12-19 06:19:00 Sounds like the wheels were an afterthought when they were finished with the school. Some people must walk round geared up to steal your wheels at a moments notice. Greven (91)
1163029 2010-12-19 07:42:00 That's where you need the tesla-coil security system! Agent_24 (57)

One would assume they would have been armed with a wheel-brace, possibly for use against other objects than Corolla wheels - it's pretty difficult removing wheel nuts with just your fingers (unless you're named Clark Kent).

So ubergeeek85's shotgun, would have been a wise idea had it come to that....
