Maybe but the English has a real strong team and a great spirit now (like the Aussies have been over the last 10 -15 years). The spirit and determination of the team make up as an extra man i reckon. Be good to see ponting be the first oz captain to lose them 3 times ! |

| 1162488 | 2010-12-16 22:07:00 | The Australians have a problem, a winning combination that has been growing old together for too long, a major infusion of new blood is needed. In spite of the above, there are exceptions, one of the real sour jokes was that it was suggested Mike Hussey is getting a bit too old, and without Hussey's batting the Australian score lines in this Ashes series woulde have looked pathetically sick. Australia has a wealth of talent, and the time is overdue to give new blood a chance. The English team have been superb, and what I particularly enjoy about English cricket is the sportsmanship, they are gracious loosers and not insufferable in victory, which are attributes that one cannot pin on the Aussies, and to a lesser extent on Kiwis - If you disagree, give an instance when there has been an occasion where the All Blacks, either the team or their supporters have been gracious in defeat. It seems to be a down under trait - show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser. |
