| 1163284 | 2010-12-20 07:08:00 | OK Japan is the same size as NZ and has very few natural resources but they have 100 million people, and I think their standard of living is probably much higher than ours. (may be not quality of life, pollution huge cities etc) But I am only advocating say 12 million people not 100 million. Surely standard of living and quality of life are inherently linked, if how good you have it is measured purely on your buying power then everyone has missed the point massively, and such rankings are meaningless. |

And if all of you who think that a bigger population would not be good, do you think that a smaller population would be better ? |

Sydney is a shithole, but then, so is Auckland, And Auckland is just a pretend big city. Wiping out 90 percent of the the population of either city would be a good start. |

Thats why I migrated here would there be any other reason to move to New Zealand? Btw, City I moved from to here had 256,000 the city I was born and spent the early childhood in has around 7.5 million! Guess why we first moved from that city? |

| 1163291 | 2010-12-20 19:38:00 | All the people who go to Oz go for the money that's true few go for the lifestyle as Oz doesn't have one and lets face it most who go to Oz have been living in Auckland or Wellington, a large proportion have only been here just long enough to get NZ citizenship and never had any intention of staying here they use it as a transit between leaving some huge city in Europe and moving to some big city in Oz (I have met a lot doing that as NZ is easier to get into than Oz) | gary67 (56) | ||
