Note that I run CyanogenMod on mine, so there are significant improvements to the media player from stock (although stock still wasn't bad, albeit a tad basic).

Yea I was considering getting a Galaxy S, but the touchwiz interface turned me off. Although they can be rooted to a vanilla build of android can't they? (Hope I have the terminology right there!)

I might look into a nexus S next year some time.

Reminds me of some guy whos related to me somehow. He had one of those old telecom CDMA flip phones, only it was pink. His solution? Vivid, lots and lots of vivid.

= about three a year. Wish I was so lucky ;)

Good to see you work for your stuff. Throw in rent, food, petrol, bills, etc, and the situation doesn't start to look so good :D

Haha yea 12 year old's don't usually have to pay for rent :p

(Hope I have the terminology right there!)My understanding is that they can be partially rooted, but that the kernel can't yet be replaced, and there are a few interesting conditions. Note that I don't have one, and I don't know anyone who has a rooted one (although my workmate has a stock one), so I may be wrong here.

In your shoes, I'd get a Nexus One (there are a few other members here who also have them), or wait 'til the Nexus S comes out.
