1162558 2010-12-16 08:50:00 Its one of the touchscreen IDEOS ones from 2degrees. It's brand new and comes with a black and pink back. Keen for $200ish. xyz823 (13649)
1162559 2010-12-16 08:55:00 Not looking to buy it (I am happy with my current Android device), but I'd love to hear how you've found it in your brief time with it - I've been very curious! Erayd (23)

I might be interested if it didn't have pink on it, but alas I am being well served by my faithful Nokia N85.

Havn't really used it much. Although using it seems slightly laggy, my brother downloaded a few apps etc. Havn't tested the music player (which was the main reason I got an iPhone). Texting on it seemed "ok" although I'm used to the iPhone keyboard with a much bigger screen.

I like the pull down notifications thing, seems quite innovative. Although I would like to know if there are any programs that sync your phone similar to iTunes. I like being able to click "sync" and all my music, apps, games and contacts are transferred with the click of a button.

Overall it seems quite nice for a cheapish phone, although I don't think I would be ready to switch to android yet. From what I have seen online, music playback on it is "ok" but nothing compared to iPhone/iPod touch.

I also don't think I would get a phone which has a manufacturers UI put overtop of android, so would end up getting a nexus s or nexus 1. That's something I do like about my iPhone. It will ALWAYS get the latest updates and fixes and I don't have to wait for the manufacturer to update "their" version of android.

1162562 2010-12-16 09:05:00 ...so would end up getting a nexus s or nexus 1...Having owned a Nexus One since the beginning of March, I highly recommend them - *very* capable phones, and almost perfect for what I want. Erayd (23)

Haha it is fully black but has an additional pink back which can be put on :D

Yea, I do go through a lot of gadgets tbh. I've had about 12 different phones since I was 12. I'm 16 now. Plus about 7 iPods/mp3 players. Also had a PSP for a while and a DS (for pokemon). Oh yea, and my laptop :p

All were paid for by me btw, I used to deliver pamphlets so please don't assume I'm a spoilt brat!

Do you use it for music? The iPhone 4 basically replaced my iPod touch :D

Reminds me of some guy whos related to me somehow. He had one of those old telecom CDMA flip phones, only it was pink. His solution? Vivid, lots and lots of vivid.

= about three a year. Wish I was so lucky ;)

Good to see you work for your stuff. Throw in rent, food, petrol, bills, etc, and the situation doesn't start to look so good :D

1162567 2010-12-16 09:10:00 Do you use it for music? The iPhone 4 basically replaced my iPod touch :DYep, all the time, and IMO it does a better job than my iPod Touch ever did. I sold the iPod the same week I bought the N1.

Note that I run CyanogenMod on mine, so there are significant improvements to the media player from stock (although stock still wasn't bad, albeit a tad basic).
