| 1199179 | 2011-05-03 10:39:00 | Hi All, I was having a look at my modem stats just now and am wondering how my DSL stacks up or should I take the time to rewire my phone wires. I am prepared to do it but am ultimately terribly lazy and looking to avoid rewiring if the gains would be negligible...... Anyway here are my modem stats (I think I am ~900m from the exchange): Software Version: 1.19.04 ADSL Version: 7.2.3.0 Boot Code Version: 0.01 MAC Address: System Uptime: 16:10:28:27 DSL Status DSL Status: UP DSL Modulation Mode: Auto DSL Path Mode: INTERLEAVED Downstream Rate: 10957 Kbps Upstream Rate: 944 Kbps Downstream Margin: 12 db Upstream Margin: 15 db Downstream Line Attenuation: 27 Upstream Line Attenuation: 11 Downstream Transmit Power: 22 Upstream Transmit Power: 12 LOS Errors: 0 PVC Connection PVC Status: UP Encapsulation: RFC 2364 PPPoA Multiplexing: VC Autodetect: Disable VPI: 0 VCI: 100 I am not cranky about the speed but more is always better isn't it? :D |

Also based on the other fixit stuff I have done (or had done), bob the builder, the previous owner was not! @ Chill Why do you say it looks good? Is an attenuation of 27 in the ball park of ~900m from the exchange? |
