2011-04-30 06:46:00 | Hello I just got a Codemasters pack which has the original DiRT and RaceDriver GRID. They seem to be really buggy though, DiRT will load up fine but once you try get into a game, it'll just crash straight away. GRIDs problem are on and off but are there enough to be annoying, there are some in game menus, such as paused during races, and post race menus are left completely blank, so you basically have to accept what evers there or memorize the menus. There are also some texture problems where items in the distance will flicker as there and not quickly. DiRT has been patched to 1.2 but won't patch to 1.2.2? GRID is patched to 1.3 Thanks for any help.

2011-04-30 08:59:00 | Yeah I've sent them an email now but I thought forums would be the first port of call since someone out there must have had this, somehow I think it has to do with the games being a bit old (2007 - 2009) and my PC running an i7 but the solution Codemasters provide (dev of both games) doesn't help it out. | Civic (15464) | |
2011-04-30 09:27:00 | don't know what email address you sent your message to but if you send it to: custservice@codemasters.com attached with the dxdiag .txt file and a Call ID they're pretty quick to respond. | icow (15313) | |
2011-04-30 09:39:00 | Yeah I sent it to that email, but how would I send a Call ID, (I didn't send a dxdiag either) But the main problem is DiRT not being able to play a game, and GRID not being able to see times after a race and things like that.

I had problems with my laptop AND desktop on Oblivion, because it was automatically detecting the performance settings that are in a hidden oblivion.ini, and causing the textures to not be displayed pretty much at all. I got patches of grass that turned into hills and stuff and it was just damn awful. I checked on google for a while and found the solution though, maybe try the steam forums? Esp if they're steam games. |

2011-04-30 10:05:00 | Sounds like you might be onto something 8ftmetalhaed since I've had a similar problem with textures in NFS Hot Pursuit (that was way worse though), they're all non steam games as it was a 3 in 1 case. I'm using ATI 6870 X 2 running CrossFireX, but I'm pretty sure its up to date, any suggestions?

2011-05-01 00:15:00 | I'm going to say no to that since I have no idea what a xf profile is, is it needed? | Civic (15464) | |
2011-05-01 23:45:00 | I'm going to say no to that since I have no idea what a xf profile is, is it needed? If you are using crossfire (2 x 6850) yes!, Try with only 1 card enabled and see if it crashes!
