2011-04-30 01:49:00 | another disaster waiting in the wings ?? I remember the initial chaos .. I dont know why I am being FORCED to upgrade, will it effect pop3 email ?? In the email sent to xtra users... " In the coming months, we will ask you to upgrade to the newest version of Yahoo!Xtra Mail for your account blahblah@xtra.co.nz. All Yahoo!Xtra Mail customers will be asked to upgrade. But in the meantime, you don't have to wait, you can have the newest Yahoo!Xtra Mail today. " " Your current version of Yahoo!Xtra Mail will be available for the next few months, but eventually you will need to upgrade to the newest version of Yahoo!Xtra Mail, or review Yahoo!Xtra Mail Help for other options. " Im guessing , another Aus terms & Conditions I have to sign up to. But wait, I dont really have to upgrade. Found when I looked around on other help pages.... " What if I don’t want to upgrade to the newest version of Yahoo! Mail? You will have the option to access your mail through Yahoo! Mail Classic. " Stupid stupid YahooXtra.

2011-04-30 04:22:00 | No it wont / should not effect pop3 email and no your not been forced at the moment to upgrade, YahooXtra are just given you a chance to upgrade now and get use to the new look, before they roll it out to everyone. Have you looked here: http://tnz.features.mail.yahoo.com/ it tell you more about it. The only thing I can see is that if you’re using any older browsers like Internet Explorer 6 or older version of Firefox/ Chrome then you will need to use the classic version of Yahoo mail.

2011-05-01 09:19:00 | Just updated yesterday. I miss the calendar strip across the bottom of the mail pages. I never remember to check my calendar every day and having it on the email page was really useful. I don't use facebook or yahoo messenger so all of those applications are of no use to me. Preferred the old version myself.

2011-05-01 09:27:00 | So for those that don't like it you can use the classic mail instead can you not? | Snorkbox (15764) | |
2011-05-01 22:23:00 | I have my Yahoo mail redirected to my free Orcon Account so that it comes automatically to Outlook. Junk mail is filtered out but I do have to go into Yahoo Mail to check my Junk Mail Folder every now and again. I have upgraded Yahoo Mail but I now spend very little time in it because I now get my mail through Outlook which is much more convenient.
