| 1163432 | 2010-12-20 01:17:00 | Hi All, Can anyone tell me where I can get a micro USB to standard (type A) USB cable that's on the short side (around 1/2 metre)? It's for connecting my Galaxy S to a new head unit. It's a very standard cable type, but I can't find less than 1m. TIA :thumbs: |

| 1163436 | 2010-12-20 01:45:00 | Is this in the SP20? If you're unable to find a short cable...do you have a double din radio or just a standard one? Reason I ask is if you have a normal radio, and you want to put the Galaxy in the pocket right underneath it (not down by the cup holders) you could drill a small hole (5mm) in the side of the pocket toward the back, fold and feed the cable through it, then pull out as much as you need. The rest can just chill out behind the stereo, there's heaps of room there. You'd never notice the hole unless you looked right into the pocket... Don't know if you've had the headunit out, you probably have, it's dead easy... |

You'd think there would be quite a market for them - 1m is quite extravagant for connecting to a PC with front inputs etc :illogical Edit: That's a cracking idea Wrat - wish I'd thought of it yesterday when the most excellent Alex B replaced the head unit!! :p But yeah, piece of piddle to get it out . . . . . unlike the Honda Civic nana-wagon my old head unit went into . . . . Jeesus!! |
