I have never set that up.

My router is a Linksys WAG200G, had a look through the settings, is this what you're talking about?

You should give it a try then, because without it you can get into situations where things end up with the same IP by accident, especially if you manually assign them in Windows etc .

No, that's something to do with the routing table (completely different)


You want to do what's in the attached screenshots

You can find your device MAC addresses in Status -> Local Network -> ARP/RARP Table, or In Windows under the network connection properties . . . or in Linux with ifconfig I think
