1198968 2011-05-04 08:26:00 I haven't, maybe you need to do something like this through the telnet interface. Agent_24 (57)
1198969 2011-05-04 08:46:00 Our v8 works fine on Vodafone, don't see why it shouldn't work

That looks encouraging. Did you change anything other than keying in your Vodafone username and password?

Maybe it has to be connected before the new setting is saved.

I think I changed it from PPPoE to PPPoA. Other than that nothing's changed.

1198975 2011-05-04 11:17:00 I'm with Telecom and tried to set it up using my friend's Clearnet username and password but it just doesn't accept it - there isn't any 'SAVE' button where I can save the settings. It accepted my Telecom's username and password and saves the settings automatically, though.

Has anyone here ever tested it with other ISP's settings?

Yes, I have changed the username/password to another ISP on a V7. Works fine as one would expect. Pretty sure I exported the settings file, altered the name etc and reloaded the altered file.

1198976 2011-05-04 11:30:00 I think it should work, but he will probably need to change the username and password. Telecom use a default one as they authenticate by line number now not username.

The default of user@xtrabb, pass of "abc123" also works with a lot of other modems too if your ISP is authenticating through your line ID.
