1163851 2010-12-22 19:47:00 There is a story on our local radio Tauranga today about a female dog who is carrying a bag around which holds her 4 dead puppies that some low life had thrown into the river.

Apparently she had gone looking for them and found them in the water!

How can people be so cruel ?

1163856 2010-12-26 05:18:00 Yes, been there, put around flyers and one in local shop and driven around at night and called him and he is on lost "pets on the net" He is also on SPCA lost and found database. I have met some lovely caring people who give me encouragement. Midas is no ordinary cat, he is a Burmese Cream and is a real sweety boy.

I can now only think that he has got into someone's car or boat trailer and been taken away somewhere.

1163857 2010-12-26 05:26:00 Check the neighbour's dry space (below the floors).

My Mandalay went "missing" and 3 days later was found by my immediate neighbour. The crazy cat had walked into their garage and had then got trapped up under the house beyond the rear of the garage.

Even though we had called for him, we never heard his reply call.

My fingers are crossed for you hoping that you find your cat safe and well :)

So are any neighbours within his roaming range away on holiday at present? That might give a clue. If he has been tranported though, there is a fair chance he'll find his way back given time, and cats don't starve, they'll find food without problems.

Wishing you good fortune.

1163860 2010-12-27 05:50:00 My ex-neighbour down South told me a horrible story not long ago.
They were going to replace their bathroom and had removed a board round the bath to check something.
Later they put the board back.

A week or so later thy found the missing cat when they took the board off again.
Of course, the fact that she said they could hear the cat didn't bother her apparently, she said they had a bit of a look in cupboards.
I bet after 3 days it would have been more than just miaowing.
