Telecom were offering 500$ (could be 600?) credit if you switch to their network with an iphone.

Yeah it's $600 credit, but if you look at the pricing comparison, you'll end up spending more monthly with Telecom, than Vodafone.

Contracts aren't worth it. Had they given me 600$ off an ipad or galaxy tab, I'd have taken it. :)

1164949 2010-12-27 12:49:00 I can vouch for the awesome build quality of the 3GS!
Forgot I had mine in my pocket, the other day, and jumped in the pool for a swim!
Phone was under water for about 30 seconds, salt water pool too!
Took it out and left it in the sun for about 1/2 hour then in the hot water cupboard overnight.
Tried it the next day but it wouldn't turn on so left it for another day & night in the cupboard.
Just tried it now and it is working! Doesn't seem to have any problems at the moment.
Didn't know these things were water proof :D

1164950 2010-12-27 23:34:00 Just bought a 3gs 8gb. Brand New $750 off TM. It said something about $200 free credit but that was for vodafone, any idea how it works for telecom if they're offering anything like that? I read something about them doing free credit if you switch from voda but what if it's just a new phone? --Wolf-- (128)

1164952 2010-12-28 02:01:00 Brought my 4 from Apple NZ, $1100. Took about 2 1/2 weeks to get here as they had no stock anywhere. Had to wait for more to be manufactured.

My friend recently brought one and it only took 3 days to arrive.

Meh not going on a contract.

1164954 2010-12-28 02:36:00 Meh not going on a contract.

In that case I wouldn't expect you would get any free credit from Telecom or Vodafone. They don't give away many freebies for prepay customers.

1164955 2010-12-28 03:32:00 Ok didn't realise the voda free credit was contract too, never actually looked into it.

Cheers for the help everyone
