2011-04-29 22:09:00 | Hi! Does anyone have any idea when ADSL2+ (or naked broadband) is expected to be available in South Waikato area. Been hoping to move from wired broadband and landline phone for quite a while now but can only get long term forecasts from both Telecom and Vodafone. Just thought someone here may be able to help please?

2011-04-30 00:33:00 | So have you got an ADSL2+ modem? | Snorkbox (15764) | |
2011-04-30 00:41:00 | No not any point in that just yet when according to both Telecom and Vodafone, adsl2+ is not yet available at my address and they can't give ETA of it coming. When it's available I will probably leave telecom join Vodafone and go to a naked wireless plan anyway (Router is free with that)

2011-04-30 00:56:00 | So which end of Papanui St are you at? I'm in Kent St off Fergusson and have adsl2+ with Telecom. www.speedtest.net

2011-04-30 01:05:00 | Well it looks to me that ADSL2+ is, in fact, available at your address. As to Vodaphone or naked broadband I have no idea as I have not researched this option. What sort of modem do you currently have?

2011-04-30 02:20:00 | D-Link 505G What is a good ADSL2+ modem in case I need to purchase one myself? Also for wireless setup are USB or internal wireless cards better, I have 4 PC's:( Perhaps I need to contact Vodafone by phone again?

2011-04-30 21:47:00 | Do you mean the 504G? As they're only ADSL1, and flaky little suckers ... I'd go for: pbtech.co.nz The ones that most ISP's supply are pretty much cheap crap and never do as well as one that you purchase yourself.
