1164833 2010-12-26 05:13:00 Ok so this has got to be the ultimate in crap!!!!

We had there 5GB unlimited speed plan yet here I am now with just above the 256kbps plan and whats this with upload speed :stare:

Conducted this test the last few days its been no higher than 658kbps

Now I notice on the website the plan we signed up with and the price we pay no longer exists and instead you got a 5GB 256kbps plan.

Want to try discussing this with slingshots Drones...yea not exactly helpful assuming you can get through.

1164834 2010-12-26 05:17:00 try speedtest.net and post back what speed you get from that GameJunkie (72)
1164835 2010-12-26 06:11:00 I noted it was through the same server WXC.net so as I tried it anyways and the result as follows

1164836 2010-12-26 06:13:00 have you gone over the 5gb cap?

if not that speed is pretty poor

1164837 2010-12-26 06:19:00 Nope the new month rolled over on the 23rd and I got about 45GB worth data block still to be had. At this speed though chances of going over data cap is slim! coldfront (15814)
1164838 2010-12-26 06:23:00 in your first post you said 5GB plan, now you say 45GB left????? GameJunkie (72)
1164839 2010-12-26 06:31:00 I assume he meant 50GB plan.

I wouldn't class those speeds as broadband, much more like narrowband.

1164840 2010-12-26 06:54:00 Those speeds are depressing. How anybody can live on those speeds, i'll never know. goodiesguy (15316)

Yes 5gb Plan and I brought a 50GB Data Block that rolls over every month just in case I top the 5GB cap.

Not really relevant as I have NOT gone over the Data Cap. (pretty hard to do in 3 days over christmas especially at this speed)

When I first got boadband with xnet I had a 256 connection, I wish now I kept that connection the only reason I changed to slingshot was paying the same price and unlimited speed....10 months on its not looking fantastic is it.

I am also wondering if there is a Phone line fault? Few months ago we had a problem of calls getting fuzzy and dropping the problem traced back to a card at the exchange. Of course now we got line rental with slingshot its a real pain to sort.
