| 1164578 | 2010-12-24 20:29:00 | There have been some great game bargains in the Steam sale, the only problem is the bandwidth downloading the games is eating up my monthly allocation at a rapid rate. However in some cases they are almost giving the games away when you'd still pay a reasonable price for them in a New Zealand store. http://store.steampowered.com/ And Merry Xmas all. |

| 1164582 | 2010-12-27 08:57:00 | I purchased the oddbox & unreal deal. I am going to leave them downloading while I'm on holiday & probably chew up the remaining 1GB on this months cap & a fair chunk of next months cap | Greven (91) | ||

Had three games in one and got them all, no problems so far. Would like to confirm i can transfer files to a second computer without downloading again, haven't tried it yet. |

| 1164585 | 2010-12-27 11:28:00 | I hate Steam, I'd rather buy a game on a CD, and without any DRM or online activation 1) I know the disc will always be there and will always work, and if need be I can easily make a backup 2) I know that no matter if the software company goes bust, I can still play the game 3) Any patches which may be released can be downloaded and stored offline, avoiding any need to re-download in future. 4) I don't need to install some crappy piece of software to waste even more system resources doing things which I can quite easily do for myself, better than it can. |

But it works most of the time . Steam -> Backup |
