What a way to finish 2010 :groan: I worked about eight New Years Eves in a row when I lived in South Canterbury - the peas still needed to be harvested at midnight (24x7 usually) and they didn't even stop the line to say happy new year. But we only worked twelve hour night shifts, and we got to yahoo at our lunch break at 1.30 am. And you tell that to the young folk today and they won't believe ya (yes the four yorkshire man strike yet again). |

Unfortunately, work sorts it out so that they give the minimum amount of days in lieu out. So I'm not working ANY public holidays over xmas/new years. |
