1163793 2010-12-21 04:18:00 Is anyone else having speed issues? The website says "No Network Problems", but my speed is way down. Haven't gone over my data cap either, got 5gb to go.

Just tried to test my speed, but speedtest.net page wont load.

:(

1163794 2010-12-21 05:59:00 Firstly, make sure you're on an ADSL2+ exchange at www.telecomwholesale.co.nz

Then, run a traceroute to microsoft.com and post the results here
Then run a speedtest to two national servers, and two australian and post those results also. We'll take it from there :)

If speedtest.net isn't loading, it's time to get on the phone to your ISP ;)
How is other browsing? I have a private speedtest server that I can give you the details of to test against

1163795 2010-12-21 08:26:00 Hey Chill. It seems to have come right, maybe it was the school holiday rush? pine-o-cleen (2955)
1163796 2010-12-21 09:40:00 Potentially, but if that's the case it'll happen again. Post the details of your router sync speed, attenuation / SNR, and look up your address on the telecomwholesale maps site and make sure it says you can get ADSL2+ Chilling_Silence (9)

Ok, telecom maps says we are in the VDSL2 area . WTH does that mean!?

Also, to the rest of it . . . . . . umm what?

Here's the trace route . You'll see I got sick of waiting the first time round .

1163799 2010-12-21 10:01:00 Yup, both good (Very nice sync speeds!). In the NetComm, there should be somewhere that shows you your ADSL Line Details. It'll be the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) & Attenuation that we're after... Tell us the stability of your wiring / line. Chilling_Silence (9)
