| 1163501 | 2010-12-20 01:51:00 | He received a call from a person with an Indian accent claiming to from (NameOfISP) Faults. He asked for the customers name and address, DOB etc. He said that he was doing some kind of security checks for (NAmeOfISP) Customers. He got the customer to go through his computer and look at various applications and system information. Then he told the customer to go to the website www.letmein123.com apparently the customer said that the were heaps of pages that loaded possibly and then he was told to turn his computer off and apparently the modem lights were flashing and now the modem wont power on at all its dead. I advised the customer that this is definatley malicious and (NAmeOfISP) would never do that and he should log this with the police so they can investigate further and request information from (NAmeOfISP) if needed. -------------------------------------- Cx called in telling that someone from (NAmeOfISP) called him last night and instructed him to access a particular website (www.letmein123.com) then suddenly it loaded up hundreds of pages then his connection went down. Even the modem is not turning on. Escalated the call to one of the sme. Advised cx to report what happened to the police so they can investigate on that malicious act. Educ cx that probably a hacker is trying to access his connection. Also informed cx that he can upgrade his connection to a newer package since his modem is down. Transferred to sars. -------------------------- Called in to talk to re the call that he rcvd last night. Somebdy asked for his info and tried to go thru his internet system asking him to type in the words "let me in" then suddenly the monitor and the modem went flashing.
