| 1200289 | 2011-05-08 04:20:00 | Last week downloaded Firefox 4 as suggested. Am running Win 7. Ever since then when closing down I get the message "Do not switch off. Downloading Windows update 1 of 3", & when booting up get the message "Configuring Windows". Also cannot print from a pdf any more. All help greatly appreciated. |

| 1200290 | 2011-05-08 05:04:00 | Welcome to PF1 :) Try this - Either manually download one at a time, see if they will install separately . Failing that - click start, type in cmd in the command window type in net stop “windows update” Note: Include the " marks Once the message pops up saying service stopped ( or words to that effect) go into C:\Windows locate the softwaredistribution folder - click it, and delete it . Reboot windows, once up and running, click start, type in update, click on windows update, manually run windows updates if its not already doing so . FF shouldn't have anything to do with the windows updates - but you never know - FF4 has caused a few problems with some computers . What PDF program are you using . |
