| 1199921 | 2011-05-06 16:14:00 | Hi there all. Struck something tonight I had never seen before. A Win7 laptop and all icons (Desktop,Start Menu Quickstart Menu) were the same apart from system ones and it didn't matter if you tried to change them independently, they all remained the same. Doing a Google search most of them suggested a System Restore which might fix the problem but doesn't really give any hint as to why, but I found one which suggested the Icon cash had got corrupted and all you had to do was go Start/Search/Disk Cleanup and make sure the Icon Cache is selected. I will get back to you when I have a chance to test it. |
