1166426 2011-01-02 06:53:00 That + Linksys Router + DDWRT (or similar) = amazing

From memory, this hack only works with 2.4 GHz antennae. I don't think it works with N band 5 GHz, but i'm not sure

1166428 2011-01-02 08:28:00 I remember when small pocket transister radios come out in the 1960s. We used to wrap copper wire around them to get a better reception. Bobh (5192)

2" = 5cm so 1" = 1.5cm

1166430 2011-01-02 09:59:00 2" = 5cm so 1" = 2.5cm

1166432 2011-01-02 11:37:00 Put your thumb to your forefinger and bend it to 2 right angles putting the two nails together, the distance from the 2nd joint to the third is about an inch, 12 of them is about the size of your foot, 5280 feet is one mile, 25,000 miles circumference of Earth, 6000 miles diameter of Earth, 250,000 miles to the Moon, 93,000,000 miles to the Sun.

If the Sun is reduced to the size of a grapefruit, then Earth is the size of a grain of salt 15 meters away, Pluto is a speck 600 meters away and the next star is in Australia somewhere 6000 miles away, on this scale, the diameter of the Milky Way galaxy is 250,000 miles.

This is from memory so may be slightly wrong.

The force of One Newton is the weight of a medium sized apple in the palm of your hand.

If you spit on an electronic equipment heatsink and the spittle immediately boils and evaporates then it is running too hot.
