1166293 2011-01-01 21:31:00 for calling it as it is.........

"I have no intention of letting the feral Maori underclass keep killing their kids. They are almost all exclusively Maori ... victim and perpetrator. Look at the local roll call: Karl Perigo-Check, Cherish, Jhia Te Tua ... now Sahara. Notice the common thread?"

When is this country going to wake up?

1166296 2011-01-01 22:01:00 Good on him, But the country needs more figures and leaders to take a stand, face up to the real facts and demand change, Especially Maori leaders.

Until then they are condoning the killing of their own children, They need to stop wasting their lives blaming the white man and look at themselves.

No amount of racist pandering or te reo is going to break the cycle.

Stand up Maori, Do it now. Weep for the children rather then the land your ancestors mishandled, Accept the problem is real, and better yourselves.

1166297 2011-01-01 22:08:00 This comment is also the reason we need people like Laws in the country...

Maori children's deaths were becoming so common "it's almost like they don't have a value any more".

"It hasn't become shocking any more."

How many people hear of another kid being beaten / killed and shrug their shoulders and "there they go again"...and.... "thank god it's not in my world"...

1166299 2011-01-01 23:06:00 They guy's got the right intentions....but certainly not the appropriate language.

But then again diplomacy achieves nothing, so I guess Laws is the best we've got.

Nothing inappropriate at all ... far to bloody much PC "diplomacy" going on ... time to tell it as it is before we end up back in the 1860's

1166301 2011-01-01 23:23:00 'Inappropriate' in relation to diplomacy.

Which as I mentioned, achieves nothing.

1166302 2011-01-01 23:24:00 So he is a hero now because the mother of the dead child asked for the photo to be taken off his Facebook page, and he refused. Sounds like a lack of empathy for a grieving mother more than a heroic stand.

So I don't actually see any solution offered by Laws, although no doubt we'll hear the answer is even more sensible sentencing, given that tougher sentences are really the only solution some of you have for anything.

In the mean time, it will be a chance for the racist minority to espouse their uninformed views about Maori land claims, as if it has some relevance to the case in question.

But it was different in the old days when you got a wallop with a stick, yeah right.
