1166012 2010-12-31 09:00:00 1st beta "knock up" build, it uses a wheezing projector, CCV (community core vision) for blob tracking.

Blobs are created from IR light (850nm) from 1 3.2v 300ma 850nm laser with a line lens. The image comes from a projector to a mirror at 45 degrees onto a frosted glass table top. a modified camera is supposed to pick up the IR light with an 850nm bandpass filter

For this demo I had to use the mouse as I was getting phantom blobs and poor tracking. Once I get an LCD I'll build the rig nicely and put it up for sale!!

More pics to come later, enjoy!!

Sorry for bad film quality, it was run for time before battery ran out!

1166014 2011-01-04 23:31:00 It was ok, but I didn't like it.

I forgot the technical side of it but it was quite limited in what it could do, mostly it could not track multiple inputs very well and wan't much on an NUI (natural user interface) still, it was a start!

As far as using consoles the kinect mods look very promising however they don't track fingers or small objects at all
