1165344 2010-12-28 22:52:00 I am making an electronics project and need a small sheet of Perspex for the front panel.

It only needs to be 195mm x 64mm and thickness 2mm, so quite small really. Clear or see-through blue would be needed.

Is this something I can buy somewhere sensibly, or will they want to sell me massive sheets for a lot of money?

1165345 2010-12-28 22:59:00 Check out any of the producers of perspex or plastic holders., The two I use in Nelson have bins of off-cuts ranging in thickness and a great range of sizes - all for a low price. I make patterns for quilters and parts for toys with the stuff. Scouse (83)
1165346 2010-12-28 23:07:00 Where are you based? I know a local place in West Auckland, friendly dudes that work there. Even let me custom make a perspex panel, with holes for a couple of fans for a pretty reasonable price. qazwsxokmijn (102)

Thanks for that, I've sent them an email.

I also found some guys in Wellington who would do it for $5, but of course shipping cost is a bit silly at $10.

They are on Trademe (www.trademe.co.nz) if anyone is interested. Not sure if they also have a website, they don't seem to mention one.

1165351 2010-12-29 01:43:00 Most car windscreen fitters or glaziers carry different grades of perspex. Should be able to get some of cuts. (Blenheim). BobM (1138)
