| 1166228 | 2011-01-02 11:12:00 | Bullshit! It's my tax dollars that go to support the provision of health services to smokers, who, like obese people, are a serious drain on the system. . That's not an argument for taking the smokers right to smoke away from them, prohibition never worked anywhere for anything. Might be an argument for a user pays health system though, then smokers can pay for your own health. However, if they're overtaxed already I guess that amounts to the same thing. |

I thought you were objecting to that! Dr Ames (http://www.bruceames.org/) is one of the first Drs to start studying carcinogenicity and was in a supermarket one day (with a TV program) next to the vegetable shelves and said one of the worst carcinogens was a raw mushroom. He then proceeded to pick one up and eat it and said if you have everything in moderation it can't harm you. He gave instances of dodgy science like one where they fed these rats the equivalent of 900 bottles of soft drink a day and then said it would give you cancer. |

Yeah Right (sgdeathpenalty.blogspot.com) "Singapore, which routinely persecute dissenters and critics, continue to hang young drug runners while at the same time work closely with Burmese military generals, and has invested billions in business ties with Burma, one of the biggest heroin manufacturing countries the world" Sounds like a roaring success and doesn't seem to have stopped the offending. |

The place is so tight your mum and dad would dob you in if you used drugs. Yes prohibition of piss in the USA was a failure. Smoking prohibited in Bhutan not sure how its going though. |
