1165478 2010-12-30 00:13:00 One way or another, everything will still be the same with "poor me" hand outs and millions gone to waste.
There is nothing really stopping them or any minority really until those occupants of the beehive find out what having testicles is all about.

That won't happen under MMP..

1165479 2010-12-30 00:51:00 This has a certain ring to it.

Three strangers strike up a conversation in the
airport passenger lounge in Houston, Texas, while awaiting
their respective flights.
One is an American Indian from Lame Deer, Montana .
Another is aCowboy on his way to Dallas for a livestock show &
the third passenger is a fundamentalist Arab student, newly arrived in
the U.S. from theMiddle East .
Their discussion drifts to their diverse cultures.
Soon, the two Westerners learn that the Arab is a devout, radical

Muslim and the conversation falls into an uneasy lull

The cowboy leans back in his chair, crosses his
boots on a magazine table and tips his big sweat-stained hat
forward over his face.
The wind outside is blowing tumbleweeds around, and
the old windsock is flapping; but still no plane comes.
Finally, the American Indian clears his throat and
softly he speaks,
'At one time here, my people were many, but sadly,
now we are few.'

The Muslim student raises an eyebrow and leans
forward 'Once my people were few,' he sneers, 'and now we
are many. Why do you suppose that is?'

The cowboy shifts his toothpick to one side of his
mouth and
from the darkness beneath his Stetson says in a
smooth drawl

That's 'cause we ain't played Cowboys and Muslims
yet, but I do believe it's a-comin'.

1165480 2010-12-30 01:20:00 We all originally moved around the planet and "became various tribes/races/nations". Often the boundaries of those nations changed considerably in size. Sometimes they vanished altogether.
Some of us moved to other land masses and joined with whoever was there and became a new group of people.

Fussing about past ownership of pieces of land is a waste of time.

Perhaps I should be in Belgium asking for my piece of Flanders back then?

Or in Turkey complaining about the chunk of Hungary they took?

But unfortunately Pctek most wars are or have been fought over land and religion.

1165482 2010-12-30 05:01:00 Is it clear to everyone what the Maoris are entitled to?, certainly isn't to me.

I would have thought all you true born New Zealanders were taught at school what the story is.!

1165487 2010-12-30 06:07:00 Who is a Maori? Define Maori, is 1/26 a Maori or is that cherry picking your ancestry. Just because I am something like 20% British doesn't make me British.

Maths tends to suggest over 50%+ ancestry/blood is a Maori, but we all know that view is hated in this country as the Maori electrol role would be reduced by 95% + lol.

But this scam will keep on for decades yet!

I'm not Maori, but I know a lot of them. They get kicked around a bit to be fair.
