1199646 2011-05-05 10:45:00 Outlook Express has suddenly stopped being accesable !!

Has always given no trouble and all the account settings are in place.

Clear Mail of course is not working either.

I know we have just had another of f/ing aftershocks, but then there has been over 1684 of the damn things with no probs.

Go to Tools/Accounts and select Properties
Select Servers at the top
Retype your password in the box and Save and ok at the bottom.
If that does not work you must be using the wrong password.

Safari, thanks for your reply.

Yes been through all that.

Have done the following as advised by Clear.

MSE
Spybot
MalwareBytes
Housecall ( this one has always been spot on)

What else can I try besides the "sledge hammer", lol.

Outlook Express has always been so reliable for us tooooo.

1199651 2011-05-05 23:34:00 You sure you have the username correct.
Try logging into webmail to check if that works with your username and password.

1199652 2011-05-06 00:07:00 As long as you are 100% sure of the user name and password, and it works OK via web mail, if still playing up.

Go into Outlook Express/ accounts, select your account - delete it, close OE

Open OE, recreate the account -- Seen it countless times that all the details are correct, but wont work, wipe out the inf file ( Account) re enter it and it all works again.

Hi wainuitech, nope !!.

Either Clear or TelstraClear have an online chat line, our daughter used it to setup our broadband connection.

It's being elusive too, lol.

We don't like their answer phone help either.
