1459849 2019-04-10 06:25:00 Quite often I have annoying popups appearing bottom right advertising erectile dysfunction and other advertisements. I have an ad blocker but that does not block these. Does anyone know of a programme to stop these? Your help will be appreciated.:annoyed: Roscoe (6288)
1459850 2019-04-10 06:31:00 Bottom Right hand corner is a square box, this is the notifactions.

9547

In search type in Notifications, open Notifications and settings, under notifications turn it off.

Then Left Click the Box, click on each Notification and delete.

1459851 2019-04-10 07:58:00 In your browser or on your desktop? gary67 (56)
1459852 2019-04-10 20:57:00 I'm not certain. They seem to pop up at anytime. Roscoe (6288)
1459853 2019-04-10 21:46:00 too little info....

reset your browsers, all of them . Make sure the Browser search is Google
ran an AV / malware scan across the PC (malwarebytes)
look in the AV logs & quarantine
check the DNS , on your router & PC
In control panel, add remove programs, look for recently installed programs

Given the nature of the popups , your PC is/was infected in some minor way

Do the popups appear only when a web browser is running ?

I waited for a popup and when one popped up I closed the web browser (Chrome) and it was still there. Does that help?

1459855 2019-04-11 00:41:00 Chrome could still be running as the popup. open task manager & see if chrome is still running

commonly a browser popup with that sort of popup content.
Chrome has a reset option that may get rid of them . In chrome settings, advanced, Restore settings to their original defaults

Or download & install firefox & use that as a test (with chrome 100% closed) & see if you get any popups

1459856 2019-04-11 00:42:00 I waited for a popup and when one popped up I closed the web browser (Chrome) and it was still there. Does that help? Re read post #2, You actually gave the location in your original post
appearing bottom right advertising erectile dysfunction and other advertisements This is coming from the notifications box. You will have gone to some site that has the same subject as the pop-up.

Simply run Ccleaner or disk cleanup, then follow instructions in #2.

Seen this happen quite a few times, with all sorts of sites throwing in advertising, from shopping channels to Porn and everything in between.

This sounds more like the issue . Simply turn them off (said it a couple of times now) , even the linked article says its coming from the Notificatios :groan:.

Now the site's ads are popping up in the Windows notification area. BTW - adblock often doesn't work, its NOT coming from the browsers.
