| 1461975 | 2019-07-29 03:09:00 | Nothing recordbreaking about it, the record was set back in 2003.:groan: No - temperatures in Greater London are not indicative of the rest of the country. London has its own mini-climate. In April 1983 when the city was completely surrounded by knee-deep snow, the inner city was totally snow-free. (that was man-made) Things have improved since then as local pollution has been reduced. (there are fish back in the Thames now and your snot is not as dirty as it once was.) |

Although Prince Charles is peer reviewed in a royal sort of way :banana www.bbc.com The media will print any old BS , just for the headline. Conspiracy theorists just lap it up . Lets stop with this save the planet BS . The planet wont melt. Humans wont go extinct because of warming. Its happened before, species adapted then thrived Many Fish species are heading towards population crash regradless of what happens with global temps . A few degrees difference in sea temp wont make any difference to the fish that are no longer there anyway. |

With the honourable exception of B.M., most of the nay-sayers now seem to accept that the climate is changing as the earth warms, but it's all OK, nothing to worry about, it's happened before. I suppose this small progress should be seen as an encouraging sign of reality slowly dawning. The next questions to be addressed are: why is the planet warming? How warm could it get? What will be the consequences? Should we do something about it? If so, then what? Better late than never. |

According to NASA there is a difference. whats-the-difference-between-climate-change-and-global-warming/ (climate.nasa.gov) Lets add a few more Questions from the FAQ climate.nasa.gov Good example "Is it to late" Even if we stopped emitting greenhouse gases today, global warming would continue to happen for at least several more decades, if not centuries. The first Question in "Less frequently asked, but interesting " Cows ----- Not what we are told by the know-alls ;) |

I do not recall anyone doubting the fact that the climate is changing just whether or not it is caused by human activity and how a Tax can fix it if that is the case. |

According to NASA there is a difference. whats-the-difference-between-climate-change-and-global-warming/ (climate.nasa.gov) Point taken, but I can repeat a comment I made here some time ago. 'Climate change' and 'global warming' are different things linked by a cause-and-effect relation. You can have climate change without global warming, but you can't have global warming without climate change. |

| 1461982 | 2019-07-30 07:27:00 | I dont know what rock some of you live under, but under mine, the Climate is going to Change about 15°C in the next 24 hours, not 1˚C in 269 years, and nobody will care. Yep, under this rock the climate has been changing for thousands, if not millions of years, well before any motor vehicles, or coal fired power stations, or animals with flatulence. As for Taxes to rectify a hypothetical problem, that is just loony left nonsense. |

Dunno about 15°C in the next 24 hours, BUT will in the next 30 Minutes, just turned on the heat pump so the climate in the lounge is about to get warmer :D  In Bold in the ORIGINAL Quote -- Its not that end thats doing it -- :D Contrary to common belief, its cow belching due to enteric fermentation. (Enteric fermentation is the digestive process of converting sugars into simple molecules for absorption into the bloodstream, which produces methane as a by-product.) However, a small percentage of methane is also produced in the cows large intestine and then expelled. Settling ponds and lagoons for processing manure also produce copious amounts of this greenhouse gas. In Bold above -- Certainly a lot of that being produced via scaremongering. |
