So is watching a movie. They're both entertainment.

They'll just go onto the next call , you wont have had any affect on them .
Some professional scambaiters have clever tricks to trash the scammer's computer(s), needing a reinstall. That's pretty funny.

1462401 2019-08-14 03:20:00 Well, there's this guy: www.youtube.com

Though to be fair, it might all be staged. Who can tell these days?

Interesting. I didn't follow everything that was going on, but it certainly looked plausible.

1462404 2019-08-14 06:45:00 Some do offer a semi legit service
They sign you up for a PC maintenance contract , load remote access software , and every x months go in & do some ~maintenance~
and kiwi's do sign up for this ~service~ .
Its shocking how many fall for these scams , not just the ederly .

I used to get asked to, down South.
Oh but you have to do maintenance on my PC they'd say.
I used to say I don't do this, you're not a server or a business running a network, you can do basic scans and stuff yourself and if you do need something done, then you call me.
I don't sign people up to contracts for BS.

So it would be easy to scam people like that
